I am ashamed and embarrassed. Really feel bad with some guilt. I am sure readers of this blog know about Universal Studio- the theme park filled with movies and cartoon characters. There are two located in Asia, one in Osaka, Japan and another right in Singapore. So I went to the local one. 14 attractions. (I think, though they havent finish up the theme park. Madagascar Adventure wasnt ready.)
The first ride was Jurassic Park, where they advised everyone to buy a poncho for 2 bucks. So we dismissed the warning as Universal Studio's idea to earn more. (Ticket price already pricey at 72 bucks per person.) Soaked, thanks to the management idea to spurt water all of a sudden from a T-Rex nose. Next was Flying Canopy which was really just a seat in the air that whisked you at 90km/h around the area. Not really scary, though shocking at times since you feel like you are colliding with a building everytime it turns a bend. *Tucked my legs a lot*
Third ride was Return of the Mummy. Dark, jerky and really cool effects. Two parts where flames errupt mere metres away and boy, can you feel the heat emitting. Not to mention a part where the cart accelerated and jerked to a quick brake, before dropping backwards. Woah.
Had lunch at $10 each. Expensive, since the portion was equal to Macdonald's $5.90 set. Moved to watch the typical 4D movie with Shrek in it- the events after Shrek 1 was shown. Then we moved off to my favourite attraction. Lights, Camera, ACTION! Suffice to say the effects was so cool, I flinched a couple of times. You are in for a tough time if you stood at the front row.
Ended with Battlestar Galactica. Or rather, I was too much of a coward and I didnt board it. Sorry. >.<
This means I missed the second and third day of CNY. Thus my father decided to collect the Hong Baos on my behalf. THANKS PAPA! :)
So I had fun with the money still coming to me.
To those who havent been to Universal Studio yet thinking about going, you might want to think about having your lunch/dinner at Vivo before returning- if you are going early in the morning. Stay the whole day to get your money worth. Riding all 14 attractions take time, a lot of time. There are two paths- Single Rider and Group Riders. Take Single Rider if you dun have time to spare because there is a average waiting time of 1.5 hours for all the rides. Single Rider can cut that time to 15min to 30min.
Alright, school starts tomorrow and I have just checked my new timetable with my subject combinations. H2 Chem, H2 Phys, H2 Mathematics and H1 Econs. Trying to appeal for K.I.
Night, readers.
PS: Here is a photo of me in a wizard hat and a video I created of my cousins during their stay in Singapore.
